Emergency Information

Each month we perform one or more emergency drills to ensure our community knows how to respond in the event there is a actual emergency situation while students are at school. These are pre-planned and include

  • Fire/Evacuation
  • Shelter In Place (formerly Code Yellow)
  • Lockdown (formerly Code Red)
  • Earthquake

Following an actual emergency situation, families will be informed via our ConnectEd communication system. If you feel that your Infinite Campus contact information is not up to date, please contact our office to update your information by calling 775-746-5860, Option 3.

You can access district-wide emergency updates and information here including an Emergency Guide for Families and Staff.

Air Quality Information

Precautions & Process

We check the current air quality hourly on days that are forecasted to be above 100. If the air quality is above 150, we will provide indoor structured play activities for students instead of sending students out to recess. If the air quality is between 100 and 150 we will provide indoor activities for students is sensitive groups.

Please communicate with the clinic if your student is in a sensitive group that should have a health care plan on file. We use health care plans to help us ensure we follow our procedure to keep your child safe.

You can check the current Air Quality for our area or download the app on your phone.
